Reputation and Items
Reputation is gained by posting in the various locations of the RP world. On general you gain 5 Rep per post made (each post must be 300+ words as farming rep is not allowed - though, an occasional post lower than that is allowed from time to time). Every so often there might be special events created by the members of staff (or ‘jobs’) in which you can gain addition Rep points.
Rep is used mainly for buying items. Items bought are permanently added to your Locker. These items ‘refill’ from thread to thread unlike items gained through a dice roll which are gone once they are used up. The amount of Rep needed to purchase an item will depend on how strong that item is with the strongest of items such as .50 Cal Sniper rifles, and items deemed “heavy” such as sledgehammers costing the most. This serves true for armor as well as medications: the tougher the armor, or more high quality the medication, the more it will cost you.
There are two ways of gaining items/weapon/armor/medication as stated above and the way these items works differ greatly as is explained below.
Reputation Bought ItemsReputation bought items ‘last a lifetime’ provided they’re not stolen from you by another PC or dropped and not picked up in RP.
These items, especially guns, come with a predetermined amount of ammo (though more can be bought from the store for additional Rep which would increase your overall amount of ammo). This predetermined amount of ammo for Rep bought items ‘refills’ per thread. This means if you have a 9mm and have used all of the ammo in your past thread, on your next thread that ammo will be refilled back to its starting amount provided you bought and paid for the item (or someone else did! The same holds true for items ‘stolen’ from another player).
Medication will also refill and items such as armor will automatically be repaired.
Dice Roll ItemsWhen starting a thread you can roll a dice (only once!) to see if any items appear within your thread (and if so, how many posts you must wait before they do!). These items can range from armor, to basic items such as medicine, to even the rare .50 Cal Sniper rifle. It is all left to a game of chance, adding to the realism of the general role-plying experience.
These items will have a set amount and must be divided among everyone in the thread (or whoever RP’s out finding them) as those within the thread see fit – this means if its a fight to the death over who gets that .50 Cal then it is what it is. These items, unlike Rep bought items, do not have ammo that respawns. While they can be taken into a new thread their ammo count will only continue to decrease. When the item reaches zero ammo it will ‘break’ into an irreparable state and become completely useless.
These items are not added to your locker as they’re considered temporary, and instead if you do bring it into a new thread you must spoiler the thread in which you got it from. You cannot buy ammo for the guns found.
For items such as hammers, or other blunt/edged items found via the Dice Roll they will have listed an amount of ‘hits’ they can be used for before they break into an irreparable state. The same goes for armor.
Items such as medication will have a predetermined amount of pills in the container (ranging from empty to a full bottle with a set number). Once they are gone the bottle will no longer refill.
Item TemplateAll items whether they’re medication, weapons, or armor, must be apped using the template below. Custom items are allowed, though they will be judged on a case by case basis by staff. Whether you’re purchasing an item directly from the Malls or creating your own you must start an “item registry” with your characters name on it which must be posted under the general
Item Creation area. Items will be modded and priced by staff (unless previously done so via the mall).
