Day and Night Guideline
While we don’t have a widget to set time we have figured out a pretty nifty way to do it. We believe that as a survivalist you should have to survive not only in the daytime but also in the nighttime to make things more interesting. To do that we’ve established a post count during which time begins to change. This post count starts at the beginning of the thread (with the first person who started it) and changes the time of day for
everyone in the thread regardless of what time they came in.
This is how time change works:
For every 6th turn the creator of the thread makes 6 hours will have passed. This means that if the thread starts at noon, when the creator of the thread makes their 6th post it will now be 6pm. After another six posts or ‘turns’ for those within the thread it will then be midnight. So on, and so forth. If an exact time isn’t given than an estimation can/should be used instead. If, at any point, the creator of the thread were to leave while others remain than the time would continue on from where they left off. So if the creator of the thread leaves after only 3 posts or ‘turns’ in the thread than three more ‘turns’ would need to be taken by everyone else currently in the thread before a full 6 hours will have passed.
Please note that even though we are doing a ‘time change’ within threads you can still start the thread off at any time you see fit be it morning, noon, or the middle of the night. That choice is still yours to make.
