PostSubject: Stats Guideline    Wed Jan 04, 2017 10:41 pm

Stats

Stats govern a lot here; they indicate how fast and strong you are, among other aspects of your abilities. Each stat is trained using the same word count listed below for every single one. You can use word count from any thread to train them except for those tagged as [Tasks], or special Events in which staff state otherwise.

The stats here are as follows, Speed, Strength, Endurance, Reflexes, and Perception. Each stat serves its own purpose which you can find in more detail down below.

When you want to train a stat you simply create a [Stat Training] thread with your name it under the Stat Training area. Put what stat(s) your training, provide a link to the threads whose word counts your using, and make sure you include your math as well. You cannot turn in threads you have not exited for training.

Everyone’s stats start out at the base which is Rank 0 Tier 0. Rank 0 Tier 0 is what would be considered an ordinary untrained human – nothing special. However, as you gain more tiers and more ranks you will begin to evolve into something special – a problem for the zombies out there waiting to make you lunch. Each Rank has technically 4 tiers to it (0, 1, 2, and 3). Any boosts to your stats are on top of what your stats are trained to. So let’s say you have Rank 2, Tier 3 speed and you have an SC that boosts your speed up a full 1 rank, that would mean you technically have Rank 3, Tier 3 speed. Boosts to stats must be spoilered in your post when coming into play so that others can see what gives you the boost, and how much.

Stat Training Word Counts

Rank 0 Tier 0: Base, everyone starts off here in ALL stats
R0T0 → R0T1: 25 Words
R0T1 → R0T2: 50 Words
R0T2 → R0T3: 100 Words

R0T3 → R1T0: 150 Words
R1T0 → R1T1: 200 Words
R1T1 → R1T2: 300 Words
R1T2 → R1T3: 500 Words

R1T3 → R2T0: 750 Words
R2T0 → R2T1: 1,000 Words
R2T2 → R2T3: 1,250 Words
R2T2 → R2T3: 1,500 Words

R2T3 → R3T0: 2,000 Words
R3T0 → R3T1: 2,250 Words
R3T1 → R3T2: 2,500 Words
R3T2 → R3T3: 3,000 Words

R3T3 → R4T0: 3,500 Words
R4T0 → R4T1: 4,000 Words
R4T1 → R4T2: 4,500 Words
R4T2 → RFT3: 5,000 Words

As stated above each of the five stats on here (Speed, Strength, Endurance, Reflexes, and Perception) serve their own purpose. The higher the stat is the better it is and the more capable your character becomes. Even certain NPC’s, like the ‘special’ zombies, will sometimes have unique stats which will determine how difficult or easy it is for you to handle them.

Speed

Speed governs not only how fast you can run but it also governs how long (how many posts) you can run for before feeling fatigued.

Rank 0 Tier 0: This is your ordinary, untrained human. You’re decent at running, but you’re nothing special. You can run for one post(s) before becoming fatigued. When fatigued you must wait three posts to catch your breath before you can run again.
Rank 1 Tier 3: You’ve got a bit of training under your belt; you spent time on the treadmill or maybe you ran track. You’re a decent runner, and your pretty fast. You can run for two posts before becoming fatigued. When fatigued you must wait three posts to catch your breath before you can run again.
Rank 2 Tier 3: You’ve done this before. You’re decent speed wise, and you’ve worked up enough training that you can run even longer than before. You can now run for three posts before becoming fatigued. When fatigued you must wait two posts to catch your breath before you can run again.
Rank 3 Tier 3: You’re one of the greatest when it comes to running. You’re very fast, and able to out-run most anything that gets in your way. Thanks to all of the stamina you’ve built up through training you can now run for four posts before becoming fatigued. When fatigued you must wait two posts to catch your breath before you can run again.
Rank 4 Tier 3: You’re the greatest. You can achieve no higher goal than this. You are the fastest around, and can move as fast as humanly possible. Due to all of the stamina you now have you can run up to five posts before becoming fatigued. When fatigued you must wait one post before you can run again.

Strength:

Strength governs how strong you are, and through that which weapons you can use. Heavier weapons cannot be used until you reach a specific strength criteria. This also determines how many attacks you can get out with a weapon (outside of guns) before you fatigue.

Rank 0 Tier 0: There is nothing special about you at this point. You are ordinary and untrained. You can hit a target five times before you begin to tire. If you push yourself after this you can hit for an additional two times before you can no longer lift your weapon. When fully tired you must wait three posts before you can attack again.
Rank 1 Tier 3: You’ve done a bit of training, maybe you lifted some weights. You’ve got some bang to your buck. You can now hit a target up to seven times before you begin to tire. If you push yourself after this you can hit for an additional three times before you can no longer lift your weapon. When fully tired you must wait three posts before you can attack again.
Rank 2 Tier 3: You’re now capable of using Heavy Weapons. You can now hit a target up to ten times before you begin to tire. If you push yourself after this you can hit for an additional five times before you can no longer lift your weapon. When fully tired you must wait two posts before you can attack again.
Rank 3 Tier 3: You’re becoming one of the greatest in your field but you’re not quite there yet. You can now hit a target up to fifteen times before you begin to tire. If you push yourself after this you can hit for an additional ten times before you can no longer lift your weapon. When fully tired you must wait two posts before you can attack again.
Rank 4 Tier 3: You’re the greatest; you’re in top form. There is no one higher than you. You can now hit a target up to twenty times before you begin to tire. If you push yourself after this you can hit for an additional ten times before you can no longer lift your weapon. When fully tired you must wait one post before you can attack again.

Endurance

The higher your endurance the more you can take, and the more hits before you’re down.

Rank 0 Tier 0: You’re average. You can take up to three hits with a blunt object before being put on your ass, or one hit by a heavy object. A direct hit to your head would render you unconscious immediately for two posts by a blunt object, while a hit to the head by a heavy object would result in instant death.
Rank 1 Tier 3: You’ve learned to endure some. You can take up to five hits by a blunt object before being put on your ass, or two hits by a heavy object. A direct hit to your head by a blunt would render you unconscious immediately for one post. A hit to the head by a heavy object would knock you unconscious for three posts, though you would now live.
Rank 2 Tier 3: You’re getting closer to being considered a rank. You can now take up to seven hits with a blunt object before being put on your ass, or three hits by a heavy object. A direct hit to your head with a blunt object will stun you only for the remainder of that post, while a hit with a heavy object will knock you unconscious for two posts.
Rank 3 Tier 3: You’re one of the best, able to endure almost anything. You can now take up to ten hits with a blunt object before being knocked on your ass, or up to three hits with a heavy object. A direct hit to your head with a blunt object will no longer phase you, while a hit to the head with a heavy object will stun you for one post.
Rank 4 Tier 3: You’re the best. There is no one able to endure more than you. You can now take up to fifteen hits with a blunt object before being knocked on your ass, or up to five hits with a heavy object. Blunt objects do nothing when they hit you in the head, and now Heavy Objects upside your head only stun you for the remainder of that post (three or more will result in death, however!).

Reflxes

Reflexes govern how fast you can attack, as well as how well and fast you can dodge. The higher your stats the better off you are.

Rank 0 Tier 0: You’re the average joe at this point. There is nothing special about your abilities.
Rank 1 Tier 3: You’ve got some skill. You can dodge things pretty well, especially when you get lucky, and you can attack fairly fast.
Rank 2 Tier 3: You’re definitely good at this point. Most zombies are nothing to handle, and you’re fairly quick at attacking and dodging.
Rank 3 Tier 3: You’re definitely something to brag about at this point. Only someone with higher reflexes than yours, or one of those creepy super zombies, can even stand a chance at hitting you now.
Rank 4 Tier 3: You’re the greatest. Even the best of the freaks have trouble hitting you, and almost nothing can dodge out of the way of your attacks now.

Perception

Your perception not only dictates how well you can see but also how quick you are to notice things (such as zombies playing dead, or the differences between a live person and a zombie from afar), as well as how good you can see in the dark. This skill also dictates how well you can shoot at a distance accurately. As always the higher your perception the better it is.

Rank 0 Tier 0: You’re average. You can see alright, but not in the dark without an aid such as a torch or flashlight. You’re not going to be able to notice things from far away, though, which leaves you at a severe disadvantage since you won’t likely notice them until they’re right on top of you. You can shoot accurately for up to about 10 feet away.
Rank 1 Tier 3: You’re getting better. You still can’t see in the dark though without some type of aid. You can notice certain hidden things from roughly ten feet away but no farther than that. You can shoot accurately for up to about 20 feet away.
Rank 2 Tier 3: You’re pretty good at this point. You can now see in the dark, but only about ten feet in front of you. You can notice things from a greater distance now, but no more than ten meters away. You can shoot accurately for up to 30 feet away.
Rank 3 Tier 3: You are one of the best of the best now. You can see in the dark up to 10 meters away accurately. You can notice things from a distance of at least 25 meters. You can shoot accurately for up to 50 feet away.
Rank 4 Tier 3: You are the greatest. Your night vision is just as great during the day, and you can spot things others couldn’t for up to 50 meters away. You can shoot accurately for up to 100 feet away.
